Elmo!

Giving a shout out to a friend who I haven't seen in a while. He's still playing that "kids" sport of competitive paintball. The dude is one of the coolest cats that still plays in MN. This looks like a photo from Kansas City. Jon when is the last time we had a beer? I think JT still owes me a few cases...

Your a man Elmo, your a man.

Sweet.

So I was playing around on usacycling.org trying to find my school rankings to see if I get a call up at nationals. I think I might be behind the starting line... I'm not sure.

Anyway it looks like I'm the Cat. 3 Road Race and Crit. leader in MN. Think I ain't? Also on top in the stage race category is Hoigaard's very own Mike B. Da bomber is also in the top 3 for the individual time trials.

I would like to think Hoigaard's CLR and LHB for a great year.

Thank you Uncle.

So I'm getting money... I just had a person tell me at the VA I shouldn't be getting money and another person tell me that I should and everything is going well. They even asked me on the phone if I should be getting the money? How the hell should I know? Can't these people do their jobs? Take a bulldozer to the current VA system and start over. If government employees worked in the real world they would all be fired.

Well the checks in the mail and I'm cashing the sucker. If I have to pay it back later "they" can rape my taxes, thank you Uncle Sam.

Every time I talk to the VA people I feel like I need to punch something.

Arggg, I feel better now.

You know what they say. If you can't be an athlete, you can at least be an athletic supporter.

Thanks for your support!

*This statement may not be true, Sorry. Jim R. you need to buy a lot more then a shirt. Maybe a T-shirt and 12 pack...

To: My best friend

It's been a while since I've wrote some rhymes.
So I figured it's about time.

This is for you, you know who you are.
The girl that's always by my arm.

We've dated that's no lie.
But friendship has worked better in our eyes.

We talk almost daily into the night.
We get into arguments, but really fight.

She hands me bottles when she there.
And support, when shes not near.

Shes loving and kind.
I must be a moron because I've declined.

One thing I know and Love.
Is her friendship, that I can't seem to get enough of.

Lets not let this stray.
Our friendship will always make my day.

The end.

I've had a few beers this is true.
Doesn't take a way the fact that I still miss you.

Really, I'm on the team.

Check the rest of the team out here

Michael Lalla

Hometown: Coon Rapids, Minnesota

Academics: Business

Up close: Michael returns to Wichita Falls as a student at Midwestern State after first living in the city several years ago while he was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base. He trained and raced as part of the local cycling community then and that played a role in his decision to return for school.

Michael started racing on the road in 2002. He has a wide range of cycling experience in different disciplines, including cyclocross, mountain bike and track. He also has an interest in "Alley Cat" bike messenger races.

In his first few races in Texas, Michael has earned some impressive results in Category 3 and will be looking to upgrade early in the spring season.

---

Thats right Alley Cats... Maybe next year Tim? I'n not sure about early spring... I and the team want to have a good "Woell season" next year. ;)

We love you down here in Texas.

Powderhorn in Pictures

Powderhorn was as fun an event as always today. Not quite as cold as it was last year, but it definitely started to chill during the A race. The course got changed this year, and a killer run-up was added (see below). To all who endured today's races: Way to go! You're much braver than I will ever be.

I hung out with Hotpinkevil! during the C Race and cheered on the crazies:

Barb and K-Wood showin the barrier who's boss.

Ray doing things his way

Killer run-up:

K-Wood kicking ass and taking names!

On his way to give the Mrs. a smooch. How sweet is that?!

I bet I could have helped to motivate Jim R. more so if I would have told him I was going to drink his beer. Hmm...must remember for next time.

I'm sorry to say that I do not have any pictures of the B Race, because I, myself, was drinking beer with K-Wood and friends. Thanks Hollywood for sharing the jug :) Homme even showed up when he said he wasn't going to (I think he's addicted to doing Bikethrow.com interviews)!

After a little beer and Pizza Luce, I went over to the feed zone to give hand-ups to Ed Alpasa, so there are few pictures of the A race. I was told by my sources that there were no butt cracks shown this year, and that the dollar bills were taped to the railing on the run-up.

Hollywood kicking ass and taking names just like his lovely lady.

The lead group consisted of Bjorn, Bergman, and Hareland. Bjorn went on to create a nice gap for himself and won with Bergman behind and then Aric.

Little Guy's Before & After shots (also in After pic is The Super-Rookie). I don't think he had any chain trouble today...Yay!

There ya have it. Powderhorn in pics.

Dreams do come true.

Does anyone out there want to pimp out their cross bike for nationals, size 58 or 60?

I'll be racing Sunday in the Collegiate division.

I need more gears to make up for my weak legs. I have a bike but its my commuter SS.

Hostile Wedding Fair. Drunk Boom.

Now that Lalla's in Texas, all that's on here are pictures of pizza, power lines, and guys in spandex. It's about time for a little news from up north...

Yesterday, I went to the Wedding Fair with Hotpinkevil! in order to get ideas for the greatest day of Super-Rookie's life. I've never been to one of these before because well, I've never needed to. I wasn't quite sure what I should be expecting, but it was much more intense than I had thought! Those vendors can be relentless! At one point I think someone grabbed my shoulder/arm, and a videographer was quite hostileto HPE. We were ready to leave after 3 hours of wedding bliss...

We had been disappointed to learn months ago that the Wedding Fair was the same day as the Boom Island CX. It's a race that we both highly enjoy, but girls' gotta have priorities! Low and behold we got out in time to catch the A race and S-R was even racing, because he has crashed in the B race. We ended up getting there just as the boys were getting going. I spent a lovely afternoon hanging out with Homme, Smithers, Jim R, Dan Cleary, Ray, and Toddler Smithers (boy needs some pictures Smithers - I couldn't find a good one of him to link). I drank Jim R's beer, DC refilled me, Homme did Bikethrow.com interviews, Smithers heckled the riders, Ray told stories about powdered donut hand-ups, and Toddler Smithers cut off all the blood flow in Homme's fingers while we all yelled at Tuffy to give S-R a bottle. Can't beat that :) I then proceeded to home and passed out on the couch. I think I'm getting old...

Evidence of the day:

Shamelessly stolen from Smithers.

History.

Looks like Mike got an "A" on his test. Maybe I should become a history teacher, seems like all the cool kids are doing it.

Leslie.

When are you going to post something?

"Lazer"

Bad a$$, Chris fix your link on your site... Is QBP going to have them Dec. 1st? Also for you insiders, QBP doesn't have the Lake CX330C in the Bible. Do they carry them?

Yo.

This is a photo from the last race of the season. Aren't those kits cool? Gold baby gold! They glitter a little in the sun. That's Collin in the front row. I'm still looking for a white helmet... No luck.

I think we are going to go and climb Mt. Scott this weekend, should be fun.

Mercy Cyling Weekend.

I ended the weekend with a 2nd Saturday. While being pist off a little for Saturdays lost I went into Sundays race with an angry furry and ended up 5th...

We were single file.
Some dude: "Don't cut me off"
Me: "Don't f'in be there."
Some dude: "We'll see when we go into the next corner"

Dude then tried to push me over onto the curb, after 100 yards he attacked. Then I attack a lot harder...

Some dude: Then was yelling at me and then chased me down...

Had a friend with me when I picked up my prize money (A habit from playing hockey, never walk to the parking lot alone.)

I think the dude may have won. They had 8 dudes so I don't know for sure...

I need a new bike, mine now has a broken fork and dented frame from our trip home... Time for a few weeks off anyway.

Here's some photos

Who is MN state chump again? I can pick out Texas's and Arkansas's...

Go Todd'er Go, he got 4th in the 1,2s and took home more cash then I.

How many World Champions do you see in this photo?
