It's over!!!

8 years, 8 long sometimes fun, hard, slow, exciting, disappointing years.

I just received my "Honorable" discharge papers in an email.

---

What do I get from all this? The VA turned down my education benefits, because I haven't had 6 years of service. Really? Its no wonder why soldiers go ape shit...

Time to make some phone calls.

---

The first round after the race Sunday is on me.

Thanks for the story Fil. The other day I also came to the conclusion that these soldiers might not make the "magic" number of days.

I've contacted the VA and I'm being blowing around like a fly in a tornado.

While I wasn't there a year or two; does that make the hourly mortar attacks not worthy of benefits?

I brought this up last night at the track... I can still go to the VA and try to get disability. The thing is, if I have PTSD (which is actually being brought on after dealing with the Army all theses years) I can have full benefits, education and health for life! But I would like to think I'm not that crazy…

I have to go through some appeals process which I can't mentally handle. So I'm going to find help with a VA counselor soon.

Or soldiers don't deserve this CRAP. You've been to war, 1 day or 10000000 you should be able to get more educational and health benefits then the average Fred.

This shit never ends...
