ACT

So I've signed up for the ACT class at the local High School. I called today to confirm the time and place and the lady on the other end thought I was the teacher. ;) I have been studying an ACT study guide a little but once these class start it'll be on. The ACTs are on April 14th. I'm taking a poll, do you think the teacher will be older or younger then me? I'll be 27 on the 11th.

Shame of the day.

Jan I'm sorry, but as soon as your found guilty your not even going to be able to keep this job.

Shame on AHA. I've played hockey in bad leagues, but at least we played hockey, this is just bad. More to follow...

Who wins?

I have a feeling that the ProTour teams are going to be very upset about ASO Paris-Nice decision. Do you think this could last till the Tour? I'm not sure on my take, I think the race organizers shouldn't be bullied into who races there races. Remember ASO has always taking this stance about the ProTour from day one.

So can the like of Toyota - United and Team Slipstream race Paris-Nice and the Tour? Wouldn’t that be great to have Jason Donald throw up his hands in victory at Paris-Nice. Granted there not the best of teams, but fans just want to see a good race and these guys are no slouches. The race must go on.

Unemployment class.

Today I had to wake up really early at 8ish and head over to my mandatory class at the Dakota County building. The class is really helpful and they give you a lot of information from finding a job to learn how to eat on a budget. All and all I felt that the class would be helpful to someone who was looking for a job. But I also felt that most of the people in the class were also enjoying there unemployment “benefits.”

Take my friend, who I haven’t seen in a few years. After the class he was going to go work out and then practice his ninja moves.

---

We have a scrimmage tomorrow and I was trying to find out what rink at NSC it was at… And this is what Scooter wrote:” I see Lalla sitting in the corner of his condo rocking forward and back muttering "what rink... what rink... what rink..." over and over again - getting closer and closer to banging his head against the wall.”

Lets not forget Muckers comments…:Yup, With his Red hockey helmet on, drooling.

I’m glad I’m a great source of entertainment for you guys. Does anyone know a good Handy man or woman?

Don’t be left out in the cold with out one-It also has a hand warming function…

Shame 5 vs Lakers 4

We had another great game. The tickets were free and we had plenty of room in the stands. We did have a couple fans, the most notable glitterati was Jack and his lady friend who were on there fist date! That right, the guy brought a girl to a beer league game, cheep hosier. I wish they would have stuck around a little, his date looked nice. ;)

Our team yet again beat the league leading team. Target made some unbelievable saves and Scooter saved us in OT. Being slash and hooked on a break away; he noticed the goalie was way back in the net, so he kind of slowed way down, got close and went upper shelf. I ended the night with a penalty, a billion shots on net and my last beer at Cuzzy’s.

And if last night wasn’t enough we had two hours on the ice this morning. Sorry I didn’t inform you SR…

We rock!

Stefan performing good international relations.

Stefan performing good international relations -From his site- that guy Koji, above, pissed us off when attacking the field in the draft of a team car on Stage 5. Man, I was mad, as you can see. Oh well, how else do you communicate with a Japanese when you're German and race in Thailand?

My skate guy.

Today was a very productive day. I decided today was the day the old 6 was going to receive a needed oil change and wash. While at the oil change place; I didn’t want to sit there so I grabbed my skates and started walking to my skate guy in West St. Paul. I get there and Emery was glad to see me but was worried I found another sharpener for I haven’t been there for some time. After he was done sharpening my skates he thanked me for the Pond Hockey shirts I brought him last time I was there. He said that I could bring him my skates any time no charge, and then he gave me a signed photo of some pro player… I wanted to pay him but he wouldn’t take my money so I guess I’ll just have to leave it around his shop from now on…

I also made in on Smithers blog links. I'm big time now!

Mucker's

"Can this be true?" Mucker questions the Minnesotan. "Yes, Mucker. As a kid, we played 'Duck, Duck, Gray Duck'" Slick Joe argues. "Well that is dumb, it is called 'Duck, Duck, Goose'...what did you play Fuchsia Light, Teal Light?" "You are a wise guy for being a pretty lousy hockey player" Slick points out. "He is just mad you left him in Thief River Falls a month ago." The Sheriff explains.

This past Sunday, Shame on Ice (7-3), took on the league leading Roadrunners (8-1-1-1) at the Breck Arena.

Slick Joe returned to the line-up after a couple months off, (4 bus trips, 3 trains 2 taxis, 1 bicycle and a brief stint on a mule.)

This was the second meeting of the two teams.

"What is Target wearing?" Brickhouse Mike plugs his nose. "It is his new good luck routine" Grumpy Smurf continues "He has been wearing garlic cloves and sage as his pre-game ritual." "Ah Man, I'm playing D" Lady Byng complains, putting Vicks VaporRub on his nose.

Shame on Ice took the early lead 1-0 as Brickhouse Mike knocked home a goal, assisted by Scooter Scott and Anvil Amy. The tightly contested game was well played as both teams went up and down the ice. The Roadrunners tied the game 1-1 in the second period. Target, and his garlic cloves, made key saves as the teams ended regulation time each scoring just one tally.

"So what are you going to tell me next Slick? Minnesotans don't think Humpty Dumpty had a great fall?" The 6th defenseman chides. "I'll be right back" Slick Joe jumps over the boards in Overtime.

Shame on Ice (8-3) defeated the Roadrunners (8-1-1-2) by a score of 2-1 in overtime.
'Slick' Joe scored the game winning goal assisted by Thor and Grumpy Smurf.

Target was the first star of the game saving 22 of 23 Roadrunner shots.

Shame On Ice 2 --- Roadrunners 1

That’s right ladies and gents after a three week hiatus Shame came out strong beating the Roadrunners in over time in one of the lowest scoring games we’ve had. Also on site was our “official” team photographer Matt H capturing all the great spills and skillz. As soon as I have photos I’ll post a few. I ended up with two penalties and then it was off to JJ’s for some beer- I love Shiner Bock… A few more minutes and I'll make it up on the AHA penalty leading score board… ;)

Defending Champ…

So I’m still the champ for the State Fair Crit 4/5s. Like what!!!

Think I'm not? I can't even find a photo of the finish... I have one good race all year and have no photo of the victory.

Looks like...

Susan Hawthorne is a novelist, poet, theorist, aerialist, academic, publisher, bank account hijacker...

No, all jokes aside my mom's bank account was hacked into with some money being transferred to a Pay Pal account belonging to a Susan Hawthorne. I guess the fraud 'e (er?) has a sense of humor...

I don't think I'm lost.

Ok... With my technical education background and experience in my field of work, I make more starting out then most people with four year degrees after multiple years of work. I know that I will top out salary wise quicker but when is making more money the end all. At what point are you happy with the way things are going...

I posted my resume on Monster and made it public a few days ago... I already have people contacting me for possible employment with expected salary range more then I was making before.

So I figure if I didn't go to school in four years time I would be head of a service team and would be stuck there making a nice salary with maybe taking a few classes on the side.

Or I can get it out of the way in a short 4-5 years and come out around the same level salary wise starting out but with the possibility of making a lot more with a degree.

I need help with my writing and English skillz anyway. I guess I'm looking for support with the decisions I'm making. I don't have any support from my family except my Grandpa a little. And people don't understand my goals because in there eyes I'm doing alright for my age with no formal education. Which is true but I'm only using 1% of my brain.

-And when you tell your engineers that our product sucks and you show them how to make it better but they don't listen to you because your a young punk kid without a formal education... I guess a delisting warning will make you take notice...

The Tour of 10,000 Lakes is cancelled!

Read about it here.

Do you think that the teams that were already set up to run a race can procead? Or do we all have to go down to Iowa...

Kanye Omari West

Why does he hate white people?

Sorry Kanye, for the Big "Football Game" all I see is two coaches that deserve to be there, but you have to put them on a pedestal because of there skin color. Shame on you.

The mystery...

With all this cold weather hanging around-More proof of global warming. Now all I need is a lighter and a can of hairspray so I can keep warm in my little condo.

I'm the furthest unit from the boiler and it was in the fifties this morning at wake up...

I'm entertaining the idea of getting a roommate. If you know anyone who needs a place to stay and is some what normal, let me know.

The 3 at 3am.

1. Why I want to go to school, in this order; Wife, My future with my wife, kids, our kids future, myself. This is how I feel and in my mind theirs no other way. I don’t even have a wife or kids yet… I work for the end goal… What can I say?

2. How to “win” in Iraq. More troops!!! Bush is not doing his job and he is not letting the soldiers do theirs. We need a lot more then 20,000 to make Iraq free. And if you have any question on this, I think myself and my brother can answer anything you want to ask.

3. Why I don’t need a job right now. Give me a break; I’ve been to Iraq, Lost my job and my girl friend I was going to marry all in the last year. I need a break and deserve it. So bite me!!

And yes I've been drinking... I love "MS Word."

Mucker's rant...

"Oh Yah, For Sure, Yah Know, -2 as a high on Saturday" Grumpy Smurf gleams about the Winter weather. "Are you going to the Winter Carnival Bart?" Scooter inquires."You Betcha, Eh" Bart continues, "Ice Carvings, Snow sculptures and Cheese Curds, oh my"

---

Shame on Ice (7-3) concluded the January Minnesota Road Trip (JMRT) and the first half of the Winter Beer League (WBL). The second half of the seasons starts on February 11th.

"Tomorrow is 'Seniors Day' at the Winter Carnival" Mucker comments to ProtectionMan Dan. "Watch it Punk!" The elder statesmen warns "Is our softball team signed up for 'Softball on Ice' on Saturday?" Goon Blaine wonders."I'm racing in the 'Car Racing on Ice' instead" Jumpin Joel smirks. "I like Italian Ices" Slash Lee shivers.

"Hey Bus Driver Bill, how is the 'DuckTape Express doing in the cold?" Piro-Wester questions. "Pretty good" Bus Driver Bill continues "The chickens are keeping the engine warm and Mucker has to driver out here and 'Crank up' the bus each day. "But it's heavy" Mucker complains.

"Target has been goofing with that Abacus for a while now" Sheriff comments about the Shame on Ice goalie. "OK, I think I got it" Target moves the last of the beads from right to left. "Shame has taken 347 shots this season scoring 56 goals. The Opponents have taken 285 shots and scored 43 goals. Figuring that we play the best goalie of the season with a 1.88 goals against, saving 91% of her shots........We need to outshoot them 43-19!" Target concludes his calculation. "Does that figure in the 3 goals Mucker scored on you by mistake?" Scooter jabs. "Darn 4th liners" Target mutters, sliding the beads back to one side

Shame on Ice (7-3) kick off the second half of the WBL season against the league leading Roadrunners (8-1-1-1) Sunday, February 11th.
