True story

So I usually don't like to rip on bike shops unless it starts with the letter "E" but this is just lame. I go to a shop by my house that starts with a "B." I go often to get food and such. Well today I was waiting by the counter for 10min (I timed it) It wasn't that busy. So I left the shit right there and headed for GP.

Thanks "Case-a-beer" for taking my money within 3min of me stepping in the door. O yeah and it was busy there... Go figure.

Skibby, it can't be that hard to hold "it" up these days is it?

Hot and Super.

Congratulations you two, I'm really stoked for you both.

I hope that the pass out couch is still available...

Seems to be a lot of engagements in the local peloton these days, Who's next?

I'll be starting a "death pool" if you will. 1st Prize is a dirty magazine if you're single and ear plugs if your married. ;)

So you want some points at Opus, Ah?

Tonight Eric from Hoigaard's set me up on the 5th wheel on a nice Grand Stay and GP train with 6 to go. At 27-30mph going up the hill what the hell could I do?

My advice. Go for the sprints that Doug S. doesn't do.

More advice. When your blowing your load make sure 3 riders aren't up the road... @$%&&*, %#@, ((&^.

1 week left...

So far U/A is beating a lot of clubs in the overall.

Midwestern State University

As most of you know I applied to MSU last week. If there is any question why I want to go to this school, look here.

Congrats Alex Boyd and the MSU cycling team.

Gus is off the wagon... Again.

Go Shame Go!

Last night Shame won in our 1st game of the Chop. With good play by our number 1 goalie we were able to win 2-1.

At one point in the game I deflected a shot right into Target's chest. As I apologized and told him he could have a free slash... Doing his best Tiger Woods impression he went for the back of my calf. What the hell? Well I don't have bruise yet... I have this nice knot that is really painful.

Thanks Target!

Why?

This is one of my deep post… As I’m reading news on cylingnews.com I saw an Erik’s ad on the boob tube and it made me wonder. What the hell is our sport doing?

What happened to the fun? The sport? Our heroes? My bike shop job?

I have ambitions of being a pro for a year or so when I’m like 35. Not a big pro but one that makes 15gs a year.

I have 7 years to make this happen and I would like to think I can do this with out blood doping. Why isn’t Doug S. not on a team like Adam B? I know I have a hard time even taking Aspirin let alone Optygen. Why do people risk it?

So as I win a local race as a cat 1 I would like to think that I can win a race nationally while not being on something. Is this truly possible?

I’ve went up against Doug in a sprint at Opus the other day and lost. But I know in my mind I’ll be able to out sprint him in a few years. That’s just how it is. This is just a given in my mind. Does Doug think the same against the JJs in the world? And if he doesn’t why not?

Right now I can only train 13 hours week with out being burned out. After a few years I would like to find out what happens after training 15-20 hrs or more a week.

Remember you’re only as strong as you think you are.

There’s nothing like posting at 1 in the morning after being driven home from a beer hockey tournament.

Who?

Who dosn't like sliders at 112?

This shit is the bomvb

Velodrome

So I went out today and gave her a friendly feel.

Track racing = Awesome. It's super fun and people need to try it at least once.

So now I need to get a CX AND track bike.

So... Should I just leave all these little splinters in my calf or dig them out?

Opus duce

2 fourth places in the sprints... So I gots nothing. Damn, I'm pist off. I have to work like a dog to get on a wheel then sprint. I guess I'm learning. Having at least one teammate to bring me to the front would be a wonderful thing.

Getting up a 5am for work is making me tired.

ACT score was 21. National average which is good for me because I was way below average in high school.

Side note, Who in the tour field is NOT doping?

Gluek Road Race

I'm not good at writing up race reports so I'll keep it simple. This is how it went down.

Rain
Wind
Pain
10mph (maybe...) into the wind
Gutter
Pain
On the back in a bad spot into cross wind.
Pain
Off the back.
DNF
Beer
Then pitcher of beer.

I remember telling every one before the race that I was going to be the first one at the bar. I though I was going to win this one only to see Super drinking a High Life. Damn lost another one. Must get points now at Opus for moral reasons...

I have a job!

I found one up in Blaine, at a place I used to work at. I can't wait to start Monday, they have cool hours and it's fun work. If you like building Legos this stuff is the next big thing.

Thanks again Keith.

Looks like I'll be racing at the roundy round this year! To all the cat 5ers. "Move bitch get out tha way."

Opus III

Yeah that's right, The first unattached racer to get points this year. I got 2nd in the 3 to go sprint.

Think I didn't?

Super wasn't there...

There was a big crash and Dag went down. I hope he's ok.

USAR

So I've been trying since I've been back from Iraq to get transferred out of the military (ETS) or Inactive ready reserve (IRR) I was supposed to go into the IRR before I went to Iraq.

As of last month I've been NOT going to drill and they're threatening me with an dishonorable discharge. I say bring it on, my first call would be to channel 5 news and we'll let my leaders lack of action be judged in the public eye. I've gone through my chain of command and even higher and nothing works. I've full filled my contract.

I usually don't like posting privet emails but read this. This was from someone whose job it is to help me, the Army soldier. I can't believe this shit.

---The latest that I have heard is that they were questioning why we were trying to transfer him to the IRR because now they think his ETS should have been last September. I emailed them with the whole story and am waiting on their response because they previously denied his ETS discharge packet with the ETS day of last September because his 8 years is up this coming July. I was waiting to hear back from the 330th to inform the Soldier because they may let the IRR transfer go through. Worst case (which is what seems to be happening with this Soldier) we can submit another ETS discharge packet with the July ETS date as early as 20 May.---

This is a joke...
