FSR Report

Saturday was a RR. Yet again I was without a teammate so I was able to be in moves then counter them... I had fun and rode well I think. I was in a few moves with some big names but the one I didn't go with ended up rolling away... I was then sprinting for 6th... I was on the "windy" side of the road and on the TX TT State Chumps wheel when he went with about 500 meters out, he went at about the same time Josh's train went on the other side of the road. I had to go... He didn't last long nor did I and ended up like 25th haha. But of course I never went over the yellow line the last few miles... Whatever, it was a good day and I gots lots of "camera" time off the front.

TT I rolled it and ended up 3rd from last...

Sundays 94 mile RR I attacked right after neutral roll out. I guess I got a minute or so away and then this team from Colorado drilled it and pulled me back for no reason... HAHA I went with a few more moves but missed the one that went away... AGAIN!!! It was strung out and single file and I was about 50 wheels back... Bummer. Then at some point after many attacks a second group got away that Jason got 9th in. I sprinted the main peloton for 25th or something... HAHA

It was one of the weirdest races I have done tactic wise. Josh claims he averaged 28mph he got 2nd.

I think I ended up 54th overall... It was a fun weekend. Last year I was dropped in the cat3s right after the first big hill.

This year is a good learning year. The dudes down here are fast with many National Chumps and riders who were pro last year. Never once during these races was I in trouble. I just need more experience reading a race. There is a lot to learn and I am finding out I know absolutely nothing… I also feel good about my legs, I think they have a lot more in them. These next few years are going to be fun. Thanks to my coach Julie Carter. Plug Plug
