Not only do the say the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States in the schools, they also pledge to Texas.

"Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible."

i went to a catholic school in texas also, we didn't pay homage to texas, just like the Hamre we said 10 hail mary's, our father and act of contrition. Plus we had to go to church every morning before school. For some reason now I'm an atheist?

Haha sounds like Catholicism is the Catholics worst enemy.

The real question is; were do Texans allegiance fall? Is it with the United States of America (They still call it the "Union...") OR the state of Texas.

My take: People down here wouldn't mind having there independence back...

When I went to Catholic schoo in my first years (1st or 2nd grade) I would do nothing but LAUGH in church and I thought it was the most retarded thing ever, to EAT christ. I never was confirmed but... I'm not an athiest by any stretch. I dont go to church much anymore.

Over CHristmas I DID with family. ANd... I had to walk out after 20 minutes because it smelled so bad in there... With all the people. Wierd huh? They needed INCENSE MORONS!
