RR

So the race today was ahh... Hard. After the first couple miles the pace was high in the cross wind. I made it in the front group feeling like a rock star until I started puking all over myself. At this point Little guys group caught me and I tried to stay on but I couldn't stop hacking and puking... Long story short. Tim, Dis and I rode a few laps together just bullshitting then just Tim and I drove on for the full miles. As it turned out I was pulling to hard for Tim so he punch me in the nose causing me to have a bloody nose... Did I mention the rain and lighting...?

Time 3:40min, 67 miles, puking on myself, bloody nose, having to listen to Tim.

Tomorrow is going to be better. I think.

Iowa

This weekend could end up being an epic weekend. Sickboy and I are heading out today and will meet Wiki down in Iowa for some early season racing. I'll write some race reports while I'm down there. Maybe even a guest report from the man himself Sickboy.

I'm sick and its rainy but the legs feel good.

---

Shame won last night without me. It looks like our play off spot is ever closer being secured.

Nightquil

Man, I haven't had Nightquil for some time, before I get knocked out I need to write some thing. This crap taste worse then any type of alcohol shot I've had. Do you think we're training our kids to be alcoholics by building up their tolerance with this stuff?

Somthing got me thinking...

So as I was sitting down the other night I saw a Erik's Bike Shop commercial. And I started remembering back to when Erik used to play hockey with Wiki and I on the Erik's hockey team, The good old days(I still have the green jersey.) Then I started to think, do you think he stills plays? Or even ride his bike, I'm not sure but I don't think he raced that often. We used to have fun back in the day but I guess Erik's was having growing pains and that's why it was no longer fun to work there.

You have to respect Dan-GP, H-wood-Hollywood, Gene O-One on one and all the other old guard that still ride and kick ass. Do you know of any other owners that ride competitively I know I missed a few.

Maybe we could get all the bike shop owners together and have a friendly tricycle race for some good cause. I bet local media would bite on that one.

I'm sick :(

It’s true, I think it settled down in my lungs. I now have a full blown cough, runny noise and a sore throat. With weather like today this is a BIG bummer. I'm going to go pick up some Nightguil and drink this baby down. Damn this sucks and it gets worse!

Ice Hogs 2 Shame 1

This game was hard. We out shot them 46-32 or something like that. I ended the evening with 2 penalties. One was for interfering, I was in front of the net and the puck was above my head, I couldn't find the puck but I found an Ice Hog player in front of me and I made him go down...

The next one was lame. I shot the puck on net and took a little swipe at the puck before the whistle blew. After I had their whole team skating towards me... I was on our bench when I heard my number being called for a slash... Yeah that when they scored there 2nd goal, I came out of the box with a heavy feeling of Shame.

Smither's site.

This may be the last political post I write about. Smithers has a great discussion going on about global warming and it seems to always come down to higher taxes and the inefficient Hummer.

Lets see if we're all on the same page. I hate all cars on the road because they're not as efficient as my moped and are causing global warming... O I'm being silly, I hate all mopeds too because they produce more toxic fumes then my pedal bike.

All the things that I think are inefficient, should be outlawed and if not I will start a website were you can flip the product off and post your pic.

Here is my list:
Batteries
Lawn mowers.
Planes, trains and automobiles.
Anything with a motor really, even RC cars and planes.
Brittney Spears.
Rubber sole shoes.
All pesticides.
Loud music. Maybe not... If you want your 12" sub we'll tax you more then a 8" sub.
My furniture... How many cows did it take to make? I hate all meat eaters too.

Feel free to add to the list.

I'm a little slow, I know the sky is blue, water is wet, I have 10 fingers, 2+2=4, I have blood in my veins, 60mins are in an hour, SR is cool. If global warming does exist it should be as easy to prove as the previous list.

This isn't extreme, this is the world we live in.

Sports & Recreation Expo for Women.

Is the MCF (MWCMR) going to make a presence here OR any of the clubs? The other week I picked up a free magazine called Midwest Events, while most of the pictures on the front were of cyclist and most of the articles were about us, there were flyers for 18 Triathlons, 7 running races, 3 duathlons and 0 for cycling races... Not even the NVGP. Do we want new riders or not?

---

Tonight we play the Ice Hogs, this again is a must win game. With 5 team in line for 4 spots in the playoffs ever point counts. Last time we faced this team the score was Shame 9-8 in over time... So come down, the game starts at 8:45pm at BIG. The tickets are free and the fun is never ending.

Last night.

last night at my ACT class my act was made. We had a new teacher and she was determine to find my age. But she still though I could pass as a senior. After she found out I was 27 she was taking aback a little and said she respected that I was "finally" trying to go to college.

We had a nice conversation during a break on how you really didn't need a college education to succeed in life. Hell I was making more then her when she worked at Northwest, But I didn't tell her that...

Can you believe that we try to make these "kids" pick a life long career at 17? I'm 27 and I just found what I want to be when I grow up. I never want to grow up!

The last couple days.

Well yesterday I had my fastest ride ever on my modified GP loop and felt super strong even while playing hockey later in the evening.

Today I felt like crap. I rode to Stillwater and took the Gatway Trail which is still not clear of snow... So I had to walk for like 20 min or so. Then I missed Highway 12 to Stillwater and zoned out and just kept on riding and walking to the start of the TTT race, stupid... So I took a different way back and suffered all the way.

Tomorrow is a rest day.

A soldier's lament

Wow, this is a great article about a veteran soldier missing the war.

I can't really relate to his story but I don't think his feelings are uncommon.

Life is truly simple, in war.

The St. Paul ride.

So I've been a little board lately with the GP route, you can only ride it so many times a week. Today I headed down to Ohio for some hill repeats. I really don't like hill repeats so I did three and started on a little tour, Lilly Dale Road over to 35E following the trail and bike route to 494 then back home.

It was fun and I saw a lot of wildlife like a group of turkeys, a bum with a wild turkey... and a scrappy looking coyote which was really cool.

That's all I have...

Monday, March 19, 2007

Some ones got a case of the Mondays.

I was 2 for 2 today for the wave count. It was a nice ride a little windy but still nice.

Some one called wanting to hire me... I'll call them back tomorrow.

The ice cream truck just rolled by, Sweet.

We won last night!

We played really well in the first period then kinda faded, but we had "D" playing forward and really mixed up the lines. The score was 10-2 I was on the ice for both of there scores but I scored two and a couple assist I think. This was a good start for our playoff run. We need to keep this up till the end.

Lets go Shame!

---

Last night I was a little sad on my way home. Its not uncommon to see a dead possum on the road but when there's another one that's alive and is right next to it... when it's eyes hit my headlights it looked at me with a, please kill me now look. Do you think it knew its partner was dead? Do they find a new mates?

One time back in the day I saw a really pretty white dove on the RR tracks while riding the bus home. Well I rode my bike back were I saw it... It was dead I buried it in the rocks and said a little something...

Will this weekend ever end?

Man this has been the longest weekend I've ever felt and it still not over.

Friday was a mint day and night. First I did that ride to Stillwater, then ate a little food and rode my MT bike down to McGovern's to watch the gophers play. I didn't leave that table till about 2 in the morning, I think I had a total of like 6 friends rotate through the table. I hooked up a ride home that was interesting to say the least(I can't tell you why... But it was Shame all the way.)I could have rode...

Saturday I had to go to drill in the morning. I felt like a truck hit me. I went, then limped out at like 10:30 and never went back. Instead Leslie and I hooked up with SR and Sarah at the Saint Patrick's Day parade. After we all went to the Nook where SR was explaining to me how every one hates him and his awsomeass, but sooner or later you'll like him... I asked, when would I hit this friendship phase? haha

Sunday I went to drill and no one cared I was gone the day before... Still up tonight is a Shame game we have to win.

I'm tired

SR quote of the day, at the parade. "See that hopping team over there? Yeah they're world champs... Watch, watch her do a simple triple quadruple flip. If LGR was a hopping team we would so kick there asses. We rock, they're lucky, yeah we rock..."

Not epic, but good.

So I haven't done a long ride by myself this year yet. Most of my rides have been two hours or so I felt like today was the day.

I was heading over to Stillwater on the Gateway Trail. All was going well till after the 494 bridge. Once I crossed this point I felt like I was in a different world, there was at least a foot of snow still on the trail- Up to this point it was clear! So I figured it can't be like this the rest of the way and started trudging across. Once I reached the other side I lost all hope for I saw nothing but white.

Not to let Mother Nature ruin my day I found a road, I think it was 13B and headed east to 36, Sweet I was on track. I kept on following the bike route over some dirt roads and then to Stillwater.

I had Lunch and headed home. There’s defiantly a point with the Power Cranks on this ride I haven't felt in a while, the point of impact. About 2.5 hours is when the real pain set in. I struggled all the way home. I ended the ride with 3hrs and 45 mins. The longest ride solo with the Power Cranks. Remember when I first started out I don't think I could ride 15 min... This week counting hockey I have 13.5 hours of training. ;)

unemployment is sweet. Think it ain't?

---

Wave count: 1 for 1. It was a Birchwood guy, in a blue kit...

Is SR's Blog to cool for me?

I'm just a local punk that post once in awhile. But I'm starting to feel like I can't even post any more from all the "B" list celebrity's posting. SR just remember the "Little Guys" when you at the top of the bloging hill.

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Who is this? haha

4 for 4

Today I was 4 for 4 for the waving. The last one was interesting. He was riding on Summit with a trailer with another bike on it... I had to take a double look...

The Power Cranks are still on. I went on a group ride last weekend with the GP crew and it was a lot easier to ride with a group. I had to explain how they work a few times... I can't wait to unleash the beast in a few weeks.

Shame

We lost our last two games. We're now in the need to win our remaining games to make sure we're in finals. I'm not sure whats going on but we were on a 7 game winning streak now we're on a two game losing streak. Come on Shame, lets get it up!

The waving PoPo. :)

What a wonderful weekend. With all this riding I've been doing I tend to see a lot of "racers" also training. When I ride past these dudes I often give a nice wave or nod of the head, unlike some of MN "elitist." Today I will start keeping track of the ones who do and don't return this nice acknowledgement.

Ones who did:
1. On Delaware, I ran into a couple H-wood guys that waved and gave a head nod.
2. And a couple others with no markings that waved.
3. Summit Ave, a Birchwood girl gave a nice wave.

Ones who didn't:
1. Summit Ave a H-Wood guy who looked a little chunky didn't wave... What are you to good for me?
2. On high way 13 this guy was heading east. I have seen this kid many times on this road and he NEVER even looks in my direction. He wears some old school Cipo style sunglasses and never a helmet, with a bike that seems to small for his lanky build. I've never see this guy at any races but he gives me the impression that he thinks hes a pro...Poser...

Dreams

So last night I had my first bike racing dream of the season. It was a crit that I had to prepare a long time for, The problem was, I didn't have any crank arm bolts... So my cranks fell off- I think the PC are f'in up my mind. Then I had a dream about Iraq... Most of time there ok I guess.

I can remember every dream which is cool and have been able to control them for some years, like fly on command because I know its a dream. I'm not sure what this means, I need a dream book.

Hockey and ACTs

So for the last few day I've been playing at the Minnesota Made Hockey rink. From 9:30am to 11 or when ever, you can skate for free. Yesterday it was just me a bunch of pucks and the net, it was sweet. Today we had a few players to hit up some short game play. It looks like I'll be keeping this up and start riding in the afternoon. I will try this tomorrow for the first time but it might be to much.

---

I had my first ACT class just a few hours ago. I am the oldest person there, but the teacher thought I was a Junior... haha. I still need to work on my math but my English skills and reasoning are holding strong. Which is surprising because I failed 9th grade English... But over the last few years after high school I've had some great teachers. It just shows you, just having smart friends can make you smarter.

---

I was just suspended from posting on mnpig.com... Posers.

O how the mighty have falling.

Tonight we lost 3-2 to a 5 and 10 team... I think they had a sub goalie but still it was Shameful. I got 1 Assist and flipt off their whole bench... I wasn't walking out to my car alone...

KSTP

Do you think Ann is single? Maybe I could convince her to cover one of our games...

UCI

I have a few questions.

1. When UCI granted Unibet its ProTour licence do you think they knew about the gambling laws in France or Belgium?

2. How do you feel about one ProTour team suing another?

3. Who pushed the self destruct button?

Red Green Show

I was kind of disappointed tonight, I missed the Red Green telethon marathon. Shame played a very shameful game, while we won it was ugly. I ended the night with 2 goals and 2 assists I think, but it was the worst defencive game I've ever played.

---

Since Grizz and I are hard core winter trainers we went to Lebanon to cross country ski instead of riding the trainers today... Lets just say I'm not doing it again this year.

On a side note The Red Green Show rocks!

craigslist

So last night I threw up on craigslist that I needed a roommate. This morning I was greatly surprised at the response, but was also aware some of the inquires seem identical and are all from the greater US of A. The people all seem to be students or something and need a place to live soon because their going to be moving and working in the states. While most of these seem suspicious I did get some genuine people that I will contact. What is the benefit of these people getting a room...? How do two people in different locations come up with almost the same response?

Never mind its a scam. I'm blaming this on the terrorists, trying to hit me in my own home.

Thursday, March 01, 2007

This is getting personal.

I have a feeling the terrorist scum doesn't want me to move forward in my life and has once again had my ACT class postponed till next week.

When the lady called me and told me it was postponed she thought I was the father of the student. Do you think I'll be the oldest student in the class and will I be the coolest person in the class, even sitting in the front row?

I'm so going to rock these punks in this class and pull in all the chicks. I have a nice car, condo, can grow a nice beard and buy beer. Beat that popular high school punk!
